Real Stories, Real Hunters

I’m excited to share two hunting videos that I had the opportunity to produce and shoot photos for during my time at BRP. Five years ago, the Can-Am Defender platform was still finding its wings among farmers, hunters, and landowners. Our objective was clear: win the hearts and minds of these communities with authentic, engaging content.

Working alongside our PR agency, Howard Communications, we developed a strategy that positioned the Can-Am Defender not as the star of a TV commercial, but as the enabler of real adventures. The focus was on the genuine stories of hunters, letting the vehicle play a supporting role in the background. This approach led to the creation of a series we called "THE HUNTERS."

The Strategy

The goal was to create content that resonated with our audience and authenticated the brand as a real contender in the UTV market. By highlighting the personal relationships each cast member had with hunting, we were able to produce credible content that was used across multiple brand channels, including: E-News, Social Media, Website, Dealership POP, etc.

The Videos

For this blog post, I’m featuring two videos from the series:

South Dakota Buffalo Hunt: This video captures the essence of a buffalo hunt in South Dakota, focusing on the personal journey and experiences of the hunters involved.

Texas Turkey Hunt: Shot in Texas, this video delves into the unique relationship the hunters have with turkey hunting, showcasing their stories and the camaraderie that comes with the hunt.

The Impact

The series not only provided authentic content for our brand channels but also set the stage for future exclusive content dedicated to hunting. The Can-Am Defender became an integral part of these stories, helping to establish its credibility and appeal among our target audience.

A special thank you to Josh Catogni from S3 Media, the mastermind behind the shoot and the edits. His expertise and creativity were instrumental in bringing these stories to life.
